Joining in the fun!

One of the main reasons for starting this blog was to join in some of the many great creative blog challenges I've been following for many months.

So - I'm starting with Wednesday Stamper as I love this week's theme - 'Purple'.

My husband has just gone back to sea for three months and right now it feels like someone has ripped my left arm off - most people would say right but I'm left-handed!

At times like this when I can't settle and feel a bit lost, creating with my stamps, inks etc is so therapeutic and the only thing I can really apply myself to.

I made this last night during one of my insomniac phases - getting to bed at gone 5am, what with putting the clocks forward as well.

Anyway, the stripy background was made using Sakura oil pastels which I've had since I was a kid. I rediscovered them recently in the attic while up there looking for something you do!

I've applied them on top of a stamped lattice pattern in yummy Key Lime Twinkling H20s but it's a very subtle effect - so subtle as to be invisible on this photo - ho hum!

So I've added some detail pics below as well.

She's lovely and well done on your Sakura 'discovery' - yes, I know just what you mean, look for one thing, find something else.
